    Diocese of Grahamstown celebrates 160 years

    Anglicans from all over the Diocese of Grahamstown joined a procession from the Drostdy Arch to the Cathedral on Sunday 23 Novmber.
    The procession of witness was part of the 160th anniversary celebrations of the Anglican Diocese of Grahamstown.
    Events began on Saturday 22 November with Bishop Ebenezer Ntlali leading the celebrations.

    The procession of witness was part of the 160th anniversary celebrations of the Anglican Diocese of Grahamstown.
    Events began on Saturday 22 November with Bishop Ebenezer Ntlali leading the celebrations.
    The Bishop David Russell Memorial Lecture was the first of the weekend’s events. David Russell was Bishop of Grahamstown from 1987 to 2003. The lecture was given by outgoing Rector of the College of the Transfiguration, Prof Barney Pityana.
    Sunday’s procession of witness was followed by a Eucharist service by Njongonkulu Ndungane, a former Archbishop of Cape Town.
