The Grahamstown Brumbies Rugby and Netball Club elected its office bearers for the 2014/2015 rugby season at the annual general meeting Saturday 18 October at the Dakawa Art Centre.

The AGM was attended by players, members and passionate supporters of the club.

Giuliano Flotman was re-elected as president for his second term, while Chesley Daniels was elected executive member for the 10th consecutive year and Deon Hilpert chosen as one of the senior executive members. Before the elections, Flotman thanked everyone for their confidence in the executive.

"We strive to work harder as we can't do it without you. Please support the functions of the club, we as executive members can't do it alone."

Flotman also announced the programme for their Community Fun Day (rugby and netball) which takes place at the Oval tomorrow 25 October.

"Let us as players and management, keep ourselves busy with sport, and positive things and away from drugs and the negative things.

Let us be role models for our children and youngsters who looked up to us," Flotman said.

The club will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2015 and plans are underway for various celebration events.

The club will once again compete in the Super 12 competition as well as the Grand Challenge.
