Marco Lombard from the Warriors (Kingswood College) was named the Coca-Cola hero of the day at the end of day one, Friday 3 October, during the U19 Coca-Cola T20 Schools Cricket challenge.

Marco Lombard from the Warriors (Kingswood College) was named the Coca-Cola hero of the day at the end of day one, Friday 3 October, during the U19 Coca-Cola T20 Schools Cricket challenge.

Marco made 110 not out in 44 balls against the Cobras (Wynberg Boys High School) in the afternoon match.

The Warriors started their tournament off with a loss to the Titans (Waterkloof Hoerskool) earlier in the day.

The Kingswood side did not get off to the start they would have been hoping for, as they lost Ryan Victor in the fourth ball without scoring.

The team recovered slightly with a 54 run partnership for the second wicket before Warriors captain, Brad Harrer, lost his wicket for 34 runs.

This is where Marco came into bat and smashed 110 not out in 44 balls which included 10 x 6 and 8 x 4.
