    The annual Kowie Striders 27km road race too place from the Big Pineapple in Bathurst to the Country Club in Port Alfred.

    The annual Kowie Striders 27km road race too place from the Big Pineapple in Bathurst to the Country Club in Port Alfred.

    Athletes made their way along the gravel road to Port Alfred, with the final five kilometres on tar.

    The event attracted top athelets from around the province, due to the event being an Eastern Province league event.

    Overall winner was former Two Oceans winner, George Ntshiliza who finished the 27km in a time of 1 hour 31 minutes 27 seconds.

    Women's winner was Christine Claasen who finished in 2:01:13
