Boarding hostels have had no water since Saturday. Speaking to Grocotts Mail, Kevin Watson,a teacher at Graeme college said the water shortages had left Graeme battling.
"We are using our own tanks at the moment. We don't know how long this will go on," said Watson Graeme college houses about 80 pupils in the hostel.
"This current problem is gravely affecting us, especially water for the toilets," said Watson Hoerskool PJ Olivier is currently in a dire situation said Joubert Retief, hostel headmaster.
"We are currently accommodating 60 pupils and the reserved water from the tanks will only last until tomorrow," Retief said Retief said that it will become very hard for the pupils if the water is not back tomorrow because the toilets are also getting messy.
Victoria High school is also currently using tanks to get water. They are filling 25 litre bottles for flushing the toilets with said a source who cannot be named.
"We only have [enough]water to wash the learners' faces,and it is affecting the learners' hygiene," the source said.
