Environmental Councillor on the Rhodes SRC Keelen Snyders has invited Grahamstown residents to take part in activities during the University's Environmental Week which starts today, 28 July, and ends on Friday.

The week kicked off with a litter clean-up in the Sun City residential area today.

There is an interesting line-up of lectures on social and environmental issues. Topics vary from carbon footprints to animal activism and biodiversity.

Get the official environmental week programme from Snyders at srcenvironmental@ru.ac.za.

Environmental week is part of an annual community engagement programme.

The five days are dedicated to environmental and community projects led by various student societies and SRC members.
