On a blustery Saturday 14 June, Graeme College hosted Union High School from Graaff-Reinet on Saturday 14 June. In the first team encounter, Union High dominated possession for the first twenty minutes as the Graeme side struggled to get going.

Graeme had to defend strongly in order prevent Union from scoring.

A mistimed chip from the Union fly half was the catalyst needed for the Graeme backline to use their speed and agility out wide to score their first points.

This was followed by a further two quick tries to end the first-half with a lead of 21-0 to Graeme.

In the second half, Graeme started to dominate all facets of play with the backs and forwards combining well to score a further four tries.

    Graeme won 54-0.

Simbulele Sizani of Graeme was named Man of the Match for his speed and agility throughout the match.

Try scorers for Graeme were Siphosethu Pinini (2), Josiah Twum-Boafo (2), Odwa Xonxa, Aviwe Ntoyanto, Simbulele Sizani and conversions by Fabio Mapaling.
