The bus was travelling from East London to Port Elizabeth when it was stopped on the N2. Grahamstown police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said at approximately 5.10pm on Friday 23 May, members of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol, Warrant Officer Xolani Ndududula, Constables Mervin Frans and Lungile Mbadu, stopped the bus on the N2 as part of their routine patrol
“The bus was travelling from East London to Port Elizabeth. On searching the bus, they found a bag in the trailer with Mandrax tablets packed among clothing,” she said.
No arrests have been made.
