The Amaphiko Township Dancers opened the Eastern Cape Schools Festival for Grade 11s in the Guy Butler Theatre on Thursday 8 May.
The Schools Festival, organised by the Grahamstown Foundation’s Arts Education Project, gives attending learners an opportunity to take part in arts-based workshops and lectures as well as South African theatre.
The aim is to encourage and motivate learners to develop their creativity and to promote a more holistic way of learning.
