Donkey clinics are held in the Sun City informal settlement in Grahamstown every second Saturday, with health checks and basic treatment for donkeys as well as guidance for their owners.

Farm Animal Centre for Education (Face) and the Rhodes Organisation for Animal Rights (Roar) collaborate to give basic free treatment to the donkeys, while educating their owners about treating them correctly.

Roar's annual Animal Rights Week will take place from 11-16 May and starts with a fun run to the Mountain Drive Toposcope on Sunday 11 May.
