Grahamstown police are trying to trace a local teacher who went missing last month. Mthuthuzeli Matshoba, 51, lives in Grahamstown, but is a teacher at Kuyasa Combined School in Port Alfred.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said Matshoba was last seen on Thursday 27 March in the company of his fellow colleagues at a social gathering dressed in beige shorts, a white t-shirt and brown sandals.

"He left in his white Corsa bakkie, (registration number FZM 810 EC) at approximately 4pm, stating that he was on his way to Grahamstown," Govender said.

Matshoba did not arrive at his Grahamstown home.

Several enquiries have been made to trace him, without success.
