The SRC recently hosted a “democracy for all” event that included dance and drama performances. But not all students felt included in the week’s events. Kelly Frielinghaus filed this report.

Third-year student, Thembi Ngcai, who suffers from level-three muscle atrophy, says she feels that enough is not being done to accomodate disabled students.

The SRC’s Activism and Transformation Councillor, Lindokuhle Zungu, said they would hold a disabled event, or possibly a disabilities week, some time in the future.

The university has not held a disabilities event since 2012, said Ngcai.
