    Nurses’ union pickets Fort England

    Nurses affiliated to workers unions Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (Denosa) and the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) picketed outside the gates of the Fort England Psychiatric Hospital on Tuesday 4 February.

    Nurses affiliated to workers unions Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (Denosa) and the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) picketed outside the gates of the Fort England Psychiatric Hospital on Tuesday 4 February.

    The singing crowd carry placards calling for the resignation of CEO Roger Welsh and the restructuring of nursing management at the hospital. 

    Denosa shop steward Vuyani Jelu said the workers were considering strike action for next week.
