    Massed choir performances for church music enthusiasts

    Andrew Reid, Director of the world-wide Royal School of Church Music will be conducting performances of a massed choir from all over South Africa in Port Elizabeth until Wednesday 8 January. There will also be two organ recitals during this period.

    Andrew Reid, Director of the world-wide Royal School of Church Music will be conducting performances of a massed choir from all over South Africa in Port Elizabeth until Wednesday 8 January. There will also be two organ recitals during this period.

    Reid is in the country to train choristers at the 50th Summer School of the Royal School of Church Music (SA) which started today, 2 January, in Port Elizabeth. Members of the public are invited to attend the choral services, which include:

    • Sunday 5 January at 09.30am, St Mary's Anglican Cathedral, Sung Eucharist
    • Monday 6 January at 5pm, NGK Summerstrand, Psalms, Hymns and Readings
    • Tuesday 7 January at 6pm, St Margaret's Summerstrand, A Sea Service
    • Wednesday 8 January at 5pm, St Mary's Anglican Cathedral, Festal Evensong

    The organ recitals will be tonight, Thursday 2 January at 7.45pm at St Mary's Anglican Cathedral (Andrew Reid) and Tuesday 7 January at 1pm, Feather Market Hall (Timothy Lees).
