The Grocott's Mail Christmas Cheer Fund hit the R3 000 mark this week thanks to a R300 donation by Irene de Maar.
The sole beneficiary of this year's campaign will be the McKaiser Old Age Home in Currie Street.
The home serves frail and chronically sick people who need help with day-to-day activities and personal care.
Donations can be made at the Grocott’s Mail reception desk, our offices are at 40 High Street.
