    Petrol price to drop by 28c a litre

    The retail price of all grades of petrol will decrease by 28 cents a litre on Wednesday 6 November.

    The retail price of all grades of petrol will decrease by 28 cents a litre on Wednesday 6 November.

    A litre of petrol will cost R13.02 in Gauteng and R12.65 at the coast. The price of diesel (0.05% sulphur) will fall by 15.2 cents a litre and that of diesel (0.005% sulphur) will fall by 17.2 cents a litre.

     

    Illuminating paraffin wholesale will fall by 16 cents a litre and illuminating paraffin (Single Maximum National Retail price) will decrease by 22 cents per litre.

    The Maximum Retail Price for LPGAS will decrease by 41 cents a kilogram.

    “The average Rand/US Dollar exchange rate decreased from R10.0027 to R9.93 during the current fuel price review period. The strengthening of the Rand against the US Dollar contributed to a decrease of 4 cents a litre in the basic fuel prices,” said the Department of Energy in a statement.

    In October the petrol price decreased by 20 cents a litre. – SAnews.gov.za
