Five Grahamstown rugby players will push themselves to their limits for the EP Kings U19 side vying for promotion this weekend.

Jason Baggott, Tyler Paul, David Murray, Ethan Fortuin (all of St Andrew’s College) and Mvelo Khumalo (Kingswood College) will play for the EP Kings U19 side.

The U19s have competed in the Absa first division, but seek promotion to the premier league after winning the first division final on Saturday 12 October.

    EP Kings beat Falcons 56-40.

The side will face Border in an U19 promotion-relegation game at Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Saturday 19 October. The game starts at 11am.

The side took on the Boland U19s in Wellington in a tough semi-final on 5 October. They weren't expecting an easy game as the Port Elizabeth youngsters had already lost there in the league stages.

However, the Kings rose to the occasion and recorded an impressive 45-30 victory, advancing to last weekend's final.

The EP Kings U21 side will also play Border in a promotion relegation game this Saturday, starting at 1pm at the same venue in East London.
