Springbok Sevens rugby squad members will be in Grahamstown on Wednesday 16 October to promote ticket sales for the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens tournament.

Springbok Sevens rugby squad members will be in Grahamstown on Wednesday 16 October to promote ticket sales for the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens tournament.

The international Sevens tournament is scheduled for the weekend of 7 and 8 December in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. It is the third event of the HSBC Sevens World Series, which comprises nine tournaments overall.

The Springbok Sevens finished fourth at the Gold Coast Sevens last weekend after suffering an energy sapping semi-final loss against Australia. They then ran out of steam against England in the playoff for third place.

The Springbok Sevens signing session and “It’s Go Time” ticket promotion will take place on the Steve Biko Lawns, Rhodes University, at midday.

The squad members will then head back to Port Elizabeth that afternoon for a media information session, with two more signing sessions in PE on Thursday.
