The Makana Local Football Association Easter soccer tournament continued last weekend 14-15 September with the knock-out stages.

The tournament was postponed due to bad weather conditions during the Easter weekend. Other factors saw further delays in finalising the competition.

The tournament started with 34 teams and last weekend the final 16 were in action. The winners from last weekend will now take part in the quarter-finals on Saturday 21 September.

Thandazile Madinda, Makana LFA secretary, said they hoped to conclude the competition this weekend, running the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.

All matches are scheduled to take place at the JD Dlephu Stadium, with the handing over of the winners trophy after the final on Sunday 22 September.
