    Petrol price drops by five cents

    All grades of petrol decreased by five cents a litreon Wednesday 4 September.

    All grades of petrol decreased by five cents a litreon Wednesday 4 September.

    The Department of Energy announced on Friday that motorists inland would pay R13.50 a litre. Petrol now costs R13.13 per litre at the coast.

    A litre of Diesel 0.05% Suphur has increased by 13.82 cents and Diesel 0.005% Sulphur has increased by 14.82 cents. Illuminating paraffin wholesale has increased by 25 cents a litre and illuminating paraffin (Single Maximum National Retail price) has risen by 33 cents.

    The Maximum Retail Price for LPGAS has increased by nine cents a kilogram. “The average international product prices of petrol decreased… diesel and illuminating paraffin increased during the period under review,” said the department in the recent statement.
