With only two games left this season, the president of top Grahamstown rugby club Brumbies is looking to all corners of town for support.

Already followed by a loyal fan base, Brumbies fields a second, first-reserve and first-team in the Eastern Province Rugby Union (EPRU) Super League competition.

Their second last season game takes place tomorrow (Saturday) against Progress in Port Elizabeth.

On 10 August Brumbies take on SA Police at the Oval, which will be followed by a steak evening on the field after the match.

Club president Guiliano Flotman says most Brumbies fans come from the area around the Oval, but he hopes to draw rugby lovers from all over town to support their teams.

Flotman also says the club is looking for more sponsors and financial support to extend Brumbies' reach and success.

The Brumbies' vision is to be a club of excellence, while developing talented players to represent EPRU and South Africa.

They also plan to develop local schools as nurseries for young rugby talent and build a strong junior team within the club, he says.

The Grahamstown Brumbies were established in January 2000.

For more information or to get in contact with club management visit their Facebook page at Grahamstown Brumbies RC.
