The Grahamstown Bridge Club competition on Monday 10th June was cancelled because of the power failure.

The Grahamstown Bridge Club competition on Monday 10th June was cancelled because of the power failure.

 

Results of the Grahamstown Bridge Club competition (4 Table Howell Movement) held at St  Bartholomew's Hall on Thursday 13 June:

 

1st: E. & M. van Hille                       61%

2nd: Gain & Kroon                           58%

3rd: Going & Midlane and          

Dacombe & Thomson                      54%

5th: Pair 7                                            47%

6th: Pair 1                                            46%

7th: Pair 3                                            43%
8th: Pair 4                                            33%

 

Two teams from Grahamstown competed in the Port Alfred Teams of Four competition on Friday 14 June.

The overall winners, with a score of 62 points, a massive 10 points ahead of the second placed team, were once again a team from Grahamstown – congratulations to Sheila Hicks, Ernie van Hille, David Gain and Andrew Maffessanti. The Claudio Tabanelli Shield stays in Grahamstown for another month!

NORTH/SOUTH

1st: Paterson & Stanton                58.67%

2nd: E. & M. van Hille                     58.00%

3rd: Pair 4                                            48.67%

4th: Pair 5                                            34.67%

 

EAST/WEST

1st: Haswell & Holiday                    57.50%

2nd: Midlane & Schudel                55.00%

3rd: Crisp & Dacombe                   54.17%

4th: Pair 6                                            49.17%

5th: Pair 10                                          34.17%
