    Medals aplenty for Prep swimmers

    Six Senior St Andrew’s Prep and two Junior Prep Albany team swimmers won a total of 15 medals at the Inter Districts Gala last week.

    Six Senior St Andrew’s Prep and two Junior Prep Albany team swimmers won a total of 15 medals at the Inter Districts Gala last week.

    Grade 7 pupil Charlie Fleming won five medals: golds for breaststroke and backstroke, a silver for butterfly and two bronze medals for freestyle and individual medley.

    Grade 5 swimmer, Jason Thomas, won two golds for freestyle and breaststroke.

    His classmate, Connor Stulich, won two silver medals for breaststroke and butterfly and a bronze medal for backstroke.

    The U11 St Andrew's Prep pupils who took gold and silver in backstroke were Martin Wolmerans and Liam Little, while Brendan Mouritzen achieved a silver medal in the same age-group in butterfly.

    Junior Prep Albany Team swimmers Catherine Williamson and Zach Mickelwright won gold and silver in breaststroke.
