Last week about 20 police officers and members of the Visible Policing Unit, detective services and crime intelligence raided a building in Bathurst Street during an integrated operation with officials from customs and excise and immigration.

During Tuesday's raid the police arrested two men aged 37 and 26 and recovered 10 laptops, five cellphones, two Apple iPads, an e-reader, a video camera, a flat-screen television and two bicycles (a Schwinn and a Silverback).

Illegal cigarettes worth R27 000 were also confiscated. The approximate value of the goods that were recovered is R130 000.

Govender said the men face various charges including possession of suspected stolen property.

One of them also faces a charge money laundering and theft. Both are due to appear in the Grahamstown Magistrate's court.
