On this historic day for the local church president of the Cape Town Mission Elder Mark Wood called Zukani Badaza, who has served as a counsellor for three former branch presidents, to become the new branch president.
Badaza called upon Kaia Ketani to serve as his first counsellor and Solomon Nathan Johnson as second counsellor.
Elder Thomas Stokoe will serve as Executive Secretary and continue to manage the Perpetual Education Fund, which provides education loans for qualified, worthy members of the church.
The Education Fund program is a great blessing to this branch that includes many young single adults.
As it is the intent of the church to build up its local leadership, Budaza’s appointment as president was well received by the church’s 134 members.
The Grahamstown branch welcomes all members and visitors to a Valentine’s Dance at 6 Bennett Street next Saturday, 16 February, at noon.
