Night bowls league glides over storm

Despite concerns around Tuesday night’s storm interfering with play, all teams managed to play matches in the first week of the Grahamstown Bowling Club’s Pepper Grove Pick n Pay Intercompany Night Bowls league.

Despite concerns around Tuesday night’s storm interfering with play, all teams managed to play matches in the first week of the Grahamstown Bowling Club’s Pepper Grove Pick n Pay Intercompany Night Bowls league.

According to Kenneth May of the night bowls committee, all teams played at least eight of the 15 ends, “which constitutes a game”.

Defending champions East Cape Electrical got off to a good start in their first game, scoring 15-7 against Makana Brick A in their first match. They then beat former night bowls winners Stan’s Transport 12-5.
