A female Grade 11 learner from Alexandria has been arrested and appeared in the Kenton-on-Sea magistrates court yesterday on charges of house robbery.

During September last year, two teachers from Ukanyo High School in Alexandria were attacked in their home during the early hours of the morning and were robbed of their cellular phones.

"A case of houserobbery was opened by the Alexandria police for investigation," reads a statement by the police.

Investigating Warrant Officer Sebastian King from the Alexandria Detective Service made various attempts to trace the suspects to no avail.

During his investigation Warrant Officer King managed to obtain crucial information which pointed to the girl on one of the cell phones that were stolen.

The 18-year-old woman was arrested on Friday and appeared in the Kenton on Sea magistrates court on Monday. Further details on the court appearance are not yet known.
