GBS representative Pat Hornby handed out the 12 prizes. In his speech Hornby reminded everyone of the long association between the bank and the GGC. he also paid tribute to the late former GBS chairman Chris Stone.

An impromptu speech by Gavin Dugmore also touched on Stone and how much he and the GBS has done for the club. He expressed his gratitude to the bank for its help over the years.

Club media officer Mike Behrens was happy to report that the greens were in good shape in spite of the recent lack of sunshine. “The course is really looking brilliant and bear with us please, the greens will be very good in the near future,” he said.
