    On the verge of summer

    Spring is in the air, flowers are bright and in bloom and avid local gardeners' properties are starting to show the fruits of their labour. Some Grahamstonians with green fingers are even extending these efforts to their verges and the pavements around their homes.

    Spring is in the air, flowers are bright and in bloom and avid local gardeners' properties are starting to show the fruits of their labour. Some Grahamstonians with green fingers are even extending these efforts to their verges and the pavements around their homes. This may not be for the annual Gardens of Grahamstown competition, but the judging for this popular annual event was concluded last week and the winners will be announced in Friday's edition of Grocott's Mail.
