Grahamstown police spokesperson Funisile Phillip said the driver of the BMW was trying to overtake a car and collided with the oncoming minibus taxi. He said the BMW was coming from direction of Peddie, while the minibus taxi was coming from the direction of Grahamstown. “Three male occupants of the BMW from Durban were trapped inside the vehicle and burned to death when it exploded. The driver of the minibus taxi also died after he was trapped inside,” said Phillip.
