One of the 10 people who were injured when a taxi overturned on 14 March in Fingo Village has died. The woman died on Tuesday 27 March at Settlers Hospital and the Police has, as a result, changed the charge against the driver of the Toyota Venture to culpable homicide.

A family source who did not want named told Grocotts Mail that the woman “was constantly in pain, and desperately wanted to go home and be her children…it is not fair and it is difficult for the family.”
The driver had previously been charged with reckless and negligent driving after the Toyota (with bad tyres and possibly failed brakes) overturned and landed on cars parked in a driveway opposite Fikizolo Primary School.

Police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said documents involving the particular case were still being prepared and would soon be presented to the Public Prosecutor for a decision on prosecution.
Grocotts Mail has chosen not to publish the name of the deceased out of respect for the grieving family.
She is survived by three children.
