TEM Mrwetyana principal Lindelo Ramokolo said pupils were in class as he spoke and were working hard to finish the syllabus. Staff at Benjamin Mahlasela and Khutliso Daniels secondary schools also confirmed the'd had no further disruptions.

Sadtu deputy secretary, Nolitha Mboniswa, said yesterday the union was awaiting MEC Mandla Makupula's reply to their enquiry about the re-appointment of temporary teachers. Sources told Grocott's Mail that Grahamstown education district director Amos Fetsha was meeting with temporary teachers at the district offices yesterday.
