Swimming Honours

Erin Graham of DSG was awarded honours for swimming at a school assembly last week. Erin arrived at the DSG in Grade 8 and was already a committed swimmer. She has worked hard in the past three years under the guidance of Tudor Lacey (DSG/St Andrew's swimming coach) and has grown as a swimmer.

During this past season she excelled, taking part in numerous school, provincial and national galas around the country where she has represented both the DSG and her home club Aquabears.

During the last inter-house gala she won all seven of the events she swam breaking five records.

In the Level 3 National Gala (level 3 being the highest level), she was a part of the EP Women’s team that won the gold medal in the 4x50m freestyle.

Erin was also selected to swim at the Junior and Senior National Championships where she won the 50m backstroke in the 18 and Under category making her the national youth champion. Her time in this event also stands as the EP age group and women's record.
