In George, they entertained the pupils of Holy Cross Primary School with a concert and demonstration of the instruments, before playing a concert at the Arts Theatre.

The event was organised by the George Rotary Club, with the proceeds going towards their community projects. In Oudtshoorn, they played at the Orchards Food Market in Schoemanshoek, with the magnificent Swartberg Mountains as a backdrop – snowcapped after the freezing weather of the weekend.

They played a selection of popular jazz numbers, including Mack the Knife, Tuxedo Junction, In the Mood, and Jailhouse Rock.

The Kingswood College Jazz Band provide a relaxed atmosphere at the Orchards Food Market, in Schoemanshoek, with the snow-capped Swartberg mountains in the background. From left to right – Siwe Kuse, on baritone sax, Adam Campbell on sax, Meghan Timm on sax, Steven Ellery on bass guitar, Joshua Smuts on trombone, Satchen Gush on drums, Rory Martindale on trumpet, Marthinus Opperman on trumpet and Boris Mohr on the French horn. All the pupils are from Grahamstown except for Siwe Kuse, who comes from Mthatha.
