    Where Princess Alice Guide Hall, African Street
    The aim and focus of Girl Guides is ‘good citizen training’. Children and teenagers learn to be useful and to care for others. Through the system of earning badges the participants learn about the basic knowledge of the Guide movement and important life skills such as first aid.     SOMEBODY TO LOVE: A DANCE CELEBRATION TO THE MUSIC OF QUEEN

    What Rides on the miniature train for the cost of donation – proceeds go to the churches children’s feeding scheme. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person and for safety reasons shoes must be worn when riding on the train.

    What Grahamstown pianist Mariel Ilusorio, together with her pupil Tim Abel, perform works for piano duets: Mozart’s C major Sonata K521, Rachmaninoff’s Waltz from Op. 11, and Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite. This seldom heard genre of 4-hand music will be performed in an intimate chamber setting. Piano duets were written to be enjoyed among siblings, family, close friends, teachers, and pupils.     KINGSWOOD CONCERT IN AID OF HOSPICE

    ART FOR HOSPICE
    When Wednesday, 27 July at 5pm (exhibition opens) and 7pm (auction starts)
    What To raise funds for Hospice, members of the Grahamstown community, together with high school art pupils are requested to please donate a piece of original artwork to sell. A panel of judges will select the top 20 or so artworks, which will be auctioned on the evening. The rest of the items will be sold for R100 each. For one night only, come and buy your choice of artwork for R100, have a glass of wine and give back to Hospice. Own your masterpiece for the price of R100!
