Medals galore for Kingswood swimmers

A team of swimmers represented Kingswood College, as part of the Aquabear Swimming Club, at the Freda Barnard Gala held in Oudtshoorn over the weekend.

Tamlyn Price won five golds and four silvers. Her golds were for the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, freestyle relay girls U15, individual medley relay girls U15.

A team of swimmers represented Kingswood College, as part of the Aquabear Swimming Club, at the Freda Barnard Gala held in Oudtshoorn over the weekend.

Tamlyn Price won five golds and four silvers. Her golds were for the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, freestyle relay girls U15, individual medley relay girls U15.

All her (and the relay) wins set new records. Price won silver in the 200m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 100m back stroke and 100m butterfly.

Other results from Kingswood pupils: Isabelle Buckendorf – 100m butterfly (gold), 200m individual medley (silver), 50m butterfly (bronze), 50m breaststroke (bronze), 100m backstroke (bronze). Calvin Price – 200m individual medley (gold), 50m breaststroke (silver), 100m breaststroke (silver), 50m freestyle (silver), 100m backstroke (silver), 50m backstroke (bronze), 50m butterfly (bronze), 100m butterfly (bronze), individual medley relay (silver), freestyle relay (silver). Jason Sliziuk – individual medley open mens relay (silver), freestyle open mens relay (silver). Jason Woodley – 50m breaststroke (bronze), 50m butterfly (bronze), individual medley relay boys U15 (silver). Rina Sumerauer – 50m breaststroke (silver), 50m backstroke (bronze), 50m butterfly (bronze). Jasmin Chungu – free relay girls U13 (bronze).
