The Kleinemonde community have organised a fun run in aid of top local athlete, Terri-Lynn Penney who will be representing South Africa at the 2010 Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Grand Final in September.

Some of the funds raised from the fun run will go towards her trip, which she needs to pay for out of her own pocket.

The 5km fun run was held through the streets of Kleinemonde (about 20km outside Port Alfred on the East London road), as well as through a nearby farmyard.

Over 70 people altogether, including Port Alfred and Grahamstown residents, took part, with many Kleinemonde residents and holidayresidents, with Run/Walk For Life Grahamstown members showing their support.

If anyone still wants to help Penney reach her dream of being able to represent her country in Budapest, she can be contacted on 083 504 7940.
