The St Andrew’s College fi rst cricket team started the year with great expectations to carry on from a good 2009 under captain Ryan Dugmore.

Dugmore along with James Price and Ian Herold represented the Warriors Franchise U18 team at the Cubs Week in Paarl at the start of the year while St Andrews hosted the annual Grahamstown Schools Cricket Festival.

Dugmore along with James Price and Ian Herold represented the Warriors Franchise U18 team at the Cubs Week in Paarl at the start of the year while St Andrews hosted the annual Grahamstown Schools Cricket Festival.

After a win against St Alban’s College, St Andrew’s traveled to Muir College for their fi rst local fi xture and faulted as Muir batted superbly in the afternoon chasing down the 240 total set by St Andrews.

Kingswood College, Selborne College, Queens College, Grey High School and Greame College and two limited overs fi xtures against Stanley Cricket Club and Penguins CC the team looked good for the tour to the Independent Schools Cricket Festival hosted by St Alban’s College in Pretoria.

St Andrew’s came away with wins against Michaelhouse, Bishops, St Johns and King Edward V11 School which completed a remarkable run of 11 victories.
