Hundreds gather to say goodbye

The funeral of Carlo Cassels was held over the weekend at the Methodist Commemoration Hall. An estimated total of 1 700 people from far and near gathered to say goodbye to a brother, son and friend.

The funeral of Carlo Cassels was held over the weekend at the Methodist Commemoration Hall. An estimated total of 1 700 people from far and near gathered to say goodbye to a brother, son and friend.

After the service everyone gathered at the New Cemetry to lay his body to rest were different groups of people carried the casket at different times so that all his friends and family could get a chance.

Doves were released as everyone gathered around to throw flowers into the grave. Cassel’s life motto was: positive change comes from within. He will be remembered by all for the legacy that he left behind.
