Kingswood 1sts vs Graeme 1sts:
Kingswood got off to a great start on what is always a batting paradise at Graeme. Both openers were out reasonably early, but a good platform had been set.

That brought Jason Davidson and Neil Hornbuckle to the crease, who together put on a 175 run partnership. Hornbuckle, the captain of the side, was dismissed for 105, while Jason Davidson went on to score his
maiden century for the first team, making 102.

Kingswood then lost five more wickets in the pursuit of quick runs before the imminent declaration, made before lunch on 282 for 9 after 48.3 overs.

For Graeme, Thandi Nqowana (4 for 76) and Abner Accom (3 for 47), were the pick of the bowlers.
The Kingswood bowlers picked up where the batters left off, as Scot van Breda (3 for 25) made vital early inroads with the new ball.

A solid middle order partnership between Accom (53) and Tyrone Rankin (20) steadied the ship for Graeme, and almost took them to safety.

However, Greg Evans picked up three wickets, which brought Kingswood nearer to victory. Kingswood had to struggle for wickets, but eventually bowled Graeme out for 134, with a winning margin of 148 runs.

It was again Accom who stood out for Graeme with a resolute innings, which had halted Kingswood’s surge to victory.

St Andrew’s beat Selbourne and Stanley
The St Andrew’s College 1 st cricket team won the toss vsSelborne College on Saturday, and had no hesitation sending Selborne into bat. St Andrew’s decision to bowl first was immediately
justified through an early wicket.

Chris Ford bowled with good control, attacking off stump on a good length. His consistency was well rewarded finishing with a five wicket haul.

Selborne were bowled out for 117. St Andrew’s always looked in control with the bat winning by six wickets. Ryan Dugmore saw his team home finishing on 32 not out.

On Sunday St Andrew’s played their annual fixture against Stanley Cricket Club. Stanley won the toss and came out batting aggressively. This gave St Andrew’s early opportunities which they grabbed with both hands.

Again Chris Ford led the attack with a four wicket haul. Stanley CC finished their innings on 128 all out. St Andrew’s again looked solid with bat, Sasha Gunn and James Price entertained a small crowd with some good stroke play, each scoring 50’s and finished convincingly, with St Andrew’s winning by nine wickets.
