THURSDAY will see Zolani Myeki take the stand to hear his fate. Myeki has been accused of the murder of ANC Youth League regional secretary Oscar Dondashe who was allegedly robbed, shot and killed on the morning of 12 July 2009 in V Street on his way home from a tavern in Tantyi.

Coordinator for the sub-region Lungile Klaas said they are planning to hold a picket protest on the day of the hearing. “It won’t be a big march but a picketing in front of the court,” said Klaas.

He also stated that they will not do a big march as yet because the accused is “still in the reception court and he has not even pleaded.” Klaas added that the youth league is involved in campaigns that will help curb crime in Grahamstown.
