Are you looking for a secondhand commercial vehicle to buy during these times of economic stress? Well then keep your ear to the ground to attend the municipality’s upcoming public auction of its redundant vehicles.

Following a recommendation by its budget and treasury portfolio committee the Makana Council
has resolved to sell all their unserviceable vehicles for between R7 000 and R20 000. For R7 000 one
may get a Toyota Stallion or one of the two Toyota Hilux bakkies on sale, while R20 000 could buy you
    a Mercedes Benz truck.

The vehicles had been purchased by the municipality except for a Ford Courier and a VW Golf which
were donated to the municipality and are now going for R8 000 and R12 000 respectively. Makana
spokesperson Thandy Matebese confirmed the auction but said he did not know the date on which the
    sale will conducted.

Here is a list of the vehicles which will be going on sale with their starting prices:
    W83 Mercedes Benz Truck R20 000
    G7 Ford Tractor R8 000
    VW Golf R12 000
