All over the world people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by sharing gifts and showing goodwill.

In the spirit of Christmas, the NG Kerk and Rapportryers in Grahamstown are hosting a market where you can shop for special gifts to make 2009 a great Christmas.

On Friday, 4 and Saturday, 5 December you may find some amazing articles and products from local crafters – as well as from surrounding towns as far away as Somerset East – in the newly renovated NG Kerksaal at 57 Hill Street.

Ceramics, jewellery and assorted beadwork, needlework and embroidery items, decorative candles, wooden frames and crosses from Touch Wood! Creations in Adelaide, plants, books by local writers on exhibition, scrapbooking accessories and paintings from well known artists will be among the many products on offer.

The popular Black Bean coffee shop run by Marinda Stevens at the Village Green tents during The National Arts Festival, will be open where you can enjoy refreshments after shopping.

The gates will open to the public on Friday from 11am to 9pm and on Saturday from 8pm till 4pm. For more info contact Annelize Bosch on 083 279 7969.
