With three matches to go, TEM Mrwetyana Secondary School look sure to win the High Schools Soccer League this season. Mrwetyana still have two matches to play, as do Nombulelo.

Having lost only one match this season, Mrwetyana have dominated and winning the league will be a true testimony of their performance throughout the season.

Tomorrow they will face Mary Waters and, according to Mandla Gagayi, the organiser of the tournament and assistant manager at Rhodes University Sports Administration, “this match will surely be a contender for the match of the season”.

The previous encounter between these two schools ended 2-0 in favour of TEM Mrwetyana. Mary Waters are currently second on the log.

Mrwetyana will go on to play the league’s last match of the season against their neighbours, Nombulelo, who are currently lying third on the log with two matches to go.

Nombulelo need to win both these matches if they want to finish second. Remaining fixtures:
Wednesday – Mawas vs Mrwetyana at JD Dlepu Stadium at 3pm
Friday 16 October – Ntsika vs Nombulelo at JD Dlepu Stadium at 3pm
Wednesday 21 October – Nombulelo vs Mrwetyana at JD Dlepu Stadium at 3pm
