SARU recently announced the inclusion of Brian Skosana, a St Andrew’s College student, in the South African U18 High Performance Squad.

Skosana represented the South African schools’ team in international rugby friendlies against invitational sides from Italy and England in Kimberley last week.

He is one of 14 players from the schools’ team and one of three Eastern Province players to make the squad.

The 32 players will assemble in Cape Town on 19 August in preparation for international matches against France on 22 August and 29 August.

The team will also take on Argentina on 26 August.

The South African U16 High Performance Squad will gather in Cape Town on 25 September and will be based at the South African College Schools (Sacs).

This group of players will participate in a position-specific training camp and will be mentored by top South African coaches such as Springbok coach Peter de Villiers, Bok Sevens coach Paul Treu, and Baby Boks coach Eric Sauls.
